Panel Fixing 100 x 100 mm without Drilling the Panel, with a Shadow Gap, Mounting Template Included

Fixing without a hole: Pixfix holds panels on a wall without drilling through them. A mounting plate is bonded to the back with double-sided adhesive, the counterpart goes on the wall and the panel clicks in. From the front there is no screw and no hole to see.

Why that matters: A hole through a printed panel cannot be undone and almost never falls where the artwork can take it. Without drilling the surface stays untouched, and the panel can be reused elsewhere later.

The shadow gap: The system sets the panel a few millimetres off the wall. The gap makes the panel appear to float rather than lie flat, which disguises any unevenness in the wall. On old walls with wavy plaster that is often the only route to a clean result.

Tamper-resistant: The counterpart holds the panel so it cannot simply be lifted off. In publicly accessible areas that is the reason to choose Pixfix over hook-and-loop tape or plain adhesive.

The mounting template: Instead of measuring out the drill holes, you press the template against the wall and mark the points through it. With two fixing points that saves time; with six it decides whether the panel ends up hanging straight.

Suitable panel backs: The adhesive needs a smooth, clean and grease-free surface. On acrylic, aluminium composite and painted surfaces it holds reliably. On porous board, untreated wood and textured surfaces it does not.

Two sizes: The system comes in two formats. The choice follows the weight and area of the panel rather than the price: a large panel on undersized fixings does not fail at once but after months.

How many points: Allow four fixings for a panel up to about A2 and six above that. Spread them across the area rather than only at the corners, otherwise the middle bows forward over time.

Bonding properly: Clean the back with alcohol before bonding and press the plate on firmly afterwards. The adhesive reaches full strength only after several hours, so do not hang the panel straight away.

Reusing panels: Because nothing is drilled, a panel can be taken down and hung elsewhere. Order fresh adhesive plates for that, since a used one no longer reaches its original strength once it has been pulled off.
