The sturdy one among the barrier posts: The Stopper Master differs from the lighter Point mainly at the base. It is built from powder-coated steel plates with a cover and a decorative plate, and carries the weight to match. Where crowds pass and a post gets knocked now and then, it stays upright instead of toppling.
The low edge: The base tapers to a very low outer rim. That is not a styling detail but the reason prams, wheelchairs and wheeled cases roll over it without catching. In public areas it is the decisive difference from a base with a high edge.
Reach and layout: The belt extends up to two metres and retracts under braking. The head carries belt receivers on three sides, so runs, corners and junctions are built from the same posts. For the end of a row there is a version without a cassette of its own.
Colours: The Master comes in matt silver anodised aluminium and in black, plus two warning versions with signal belts in yellow/black and red/white. Those belong where a barrier is meant to stand out: work areas, closed-off routes, freshly mopped floors.
Belts: The bands are made in Germany. They are tightly woven and keep their width after many thousands of pulls without fraying at the edges.
Retrofitting: An Anti Panic adapter is available for all Stopper series and releases the belt end under sufficient force. On escape routes that is a requirement, not an accessory.
How many posts you need: Divide the run by two metres and add one post. Twelve metres come to seven. At crossing points plan one post more, so the bands do not pull around a corner.
Weight and moving: The heavy base is an advantage in use and a consideration when repositioning. Where posts are moved daily the lighter Point is the more practical choice. Where they stay put, the Master plays to its stability.
Storage: Store upright, do not stack them on their heads. Pressure on the cassette acts on the return brake, and that cannot be replaced on its own.
Cleaning: A damp cloth is enough for the base and the post. Pull the belt out fully from time to time and wipe it along its length, otherwise dust builds up inside the cassette.
This item in detail: The finish is black. The belt is red/white; plain bands organise while two-tone bands warn. The weight is 12 kg, which matters for both the fixing and the shipping. The post stands free on its weighted steel base. Check the dimensions and finish against what you already have before ordering, because the items in this range differ in exactly those points.
