A wall standoff for signs, glass panels and printed boards. The sign sits at a defined distance from the wall rather than flat against it.
This item in detail: This part measures 35 x 30 mm. The weight is 89 grams. It is supplied as a pack of 2, with the quantity stated in the title. Check these figures against your installation before ordering, because the parts in a range differ in exactly these points.
Why the gap matters: The sign looks lighter, and the shadow behind the panel lifts the lettering. What sits flat on a wall disappears visually; what floats in front of it gets seen.
What it suits: Surgery and law firm plates, company signage, wayfinding, house numbers. Indoors as well as outdoors.
Dimensions: dia. 35 x 30 mm — giving a wall gap of 30 mm. Material: Chrome-plated metal.
How many holders you need: A sign usually takes four holders, one per corner. Narrow portrait formats manage with two, and on large panels from about a metre edge length you should plan an extra holder in the middle of the long side.
On mounting: Drill the hole to suit the plug for your wall material — the holders themselves do not dictate a plug size. Plasterboard calls for cavity plugs, concrete takes a standard plug. Align the first holder with a spirit level; after that the sign itself carries the alignment across.
Scope of delivery: You receive 2 pieces. The price shown applies to the whole set of 2, not to a single item.
How many do I need: Four holders per sign is the rule, one per corner. Narrow portrait formats manage with two. From about one metre edge length another belongs in the middle, otherwise the panel sags over time. Mounting: Drill, plug, set the holder, place the sign and secure it with the cap. The fixing depends on the wall material, not on the holder. Concrete, plasterboard and solid brick each take a different one. Align the first holder with a spirit level. Why the gap to the wall: It makes the sign look lighter, and the shadow lifts the lettering. It also keeps the wall behind dry, because moisture can run off instead of collecting behind the panel. Care: A damp cloth and mild detergent are enough, including for the visible caps. How it is supplied: The holders are delivered in packs, with the quantity given in the title. Since four are calculated per sign, one pack usually covers several signs. For businesses that sign continuously, that is cheaper than ordering individually.
