The photo stand 10 x 10 cm is the square in the 1:1 aspect ratio, the format of Instagram pictures, square prints and medium-format photographs. At 10 x 10 cm it takes the small square print as photo services print it for Instagram pictures. The stand is a frameless picture frame made of crystal-clear PLEXIGLAS® XT, 2.0 mm thick; the picture fills the surface edge to edge, without frame, backing board or clips.
Construction and handling: The shape is an L made from one piece: a base with four anti-slip feet and a pane leaning backwards, together roughly 10 x 6.5 cm of footprint. The picture slides in from the top, sits behind the pane and rests on the lower edge; no tools or clips are needed. At 68 g the stand is light enough for the windowsill and stable enough for the desk.
Material: PLEXIGLAS® is the original among acrylic glasses. It is UV-stable, does not yellow even after years by the window and is considerably more break-resistant than glass of the same thickness. The edges are diamond-polished and shine like ground glass; fingerprints wipe off with a soft cloth and a little water. Avoid glass cleaners containing alcohol and abrasive agents, and the pane stays permanently clear.
Typical applications: On the desk, the bedside table and the windowsill the small stand takes up little space and keeps a favourite photo within reach. As a small gift, a single print and the stand become a finished present. In retail the same format carries price and notice cards on counter and shelf, in hospitality place cards and notices about Wi-Fi or payment options, and at parties name and place cards.
