The photo stand 15 x 10 cm is the landscape format in the 3:2 aspect ratio delivered by 35 mm film, DSLR and mirrorless cameras. 15 x 10 cm is the standard print of every photo service, here in landscape for landscapes, groups and travel pictures. The stand is a frameless picture frame made of crystal-clear PLEXIGLAS® XT, 2.0 mm thick; the picture fills the surface edge to edge, without frame, backing board or clips.
Construction and handling: The shape is an L made from one piece: a base with four anti-slip feet and a pane leaning backwards, together roughly 15 x 6.5 cm of footprint. The picture slides in from the top, sits behind the pane and rests on the lower edge; no tools or clips are needed. At 98 g the stand is light enough for the windowsill and stable enough for the desk.
Material: PLEXIGLAS® is the original among acrylic glasses. It is UV-stable, does not yellow even after years by the window and is considerably more break-resistant than glass of the same thickness. The edges are diamond-polished and shine like ground glass; fingerprints wipe off with a soft cloth and a little water. Avoid glass cleaners containing alcohol and abrasive agents, and the pane stays permanently clear.
Typical applications: At home the stand sits on sideboard, shelf and chest of drawers, where a family photo or the picture from the last holiday finds its place without drilling or nails. As a gift for a birth, a wedding or an anniversary, a single print becomes a finished present. In retail and hospitality the same stand keeps notice and promotion cards ready on counter and table, photographers use it to present proof prints, and at events it carries place cards or the guests' photos.
The right size: 15 x 10 cm is the landscape version of the 10 x 15 cm stand and thus the stand for the most printed photo of all; to mix portrait and landscape, place both side by side at the same height. The 3:2 range comprises 13 x 9, 15 x 10, 17 x 11, 18 x 13, 30 x 20 and 45 x 30 cm. Phone photos in 4:3 landscape format fit the sizes from 11 x 9 to 40 x 30 cm.
