The picture stand 25 x 25 cm is the square in the 1:1 aspect ratio, the format of Instagram pictures, square prints and medium-format photographs. 25 x 25 cm shows square pictures and prints at a size that works from across the room. The stand is a frameless picture frame made of crystal-clear PLEXIGLAS® XT, 2.0 mm thick; the picture fills the surface edge to edge, without frame, backing board or clips.
Construction and handling: The shape is an L made from one piece: a base with four anti-slip feet and a pane leaning backwards, together roughly 25 x 9.5 cm of footprint. The picture slides in from the top, sits behind the pane and rests on the lower edge; no tools or clips are needed. At 390 g it stands calmly on sideboard and counter too, without tipping.
Material: The pane is made of original PLEXIGLAS® XT, an acrylic glass that is UV-stable and does not yellow. It lets through more light than window glass and is considerably more break-resistant. The edges are diamond-polished, so crystal clear instead of milky. A soft cloth and water are all it takes to care for it; cleaners containing alcohol or abrasives attack the surface and do not belong on acrylic glass.
Typical applications: The large format stands freely in the room: on the sideboard in the living room, on the dresser in the hallway or on the counter of a shop. Photographers and galleries present prints in it without having to frame them; in retail the promotion in the stand changes as quickly as the range. At events it serves as programme board, signpost or welcome sign at the entrance.
The right size: 25 x 25 cm is the second largest square size; art prints and photo prints of this size work on chest of drawers and sideboard like a wall picture, and at 390 g the stand stays put without tipping. The 1:1 range comprises 10 x 10, 15 x 15, 20 x 20, 25 x 25 and 30 x 30 cm. Anyone looking for a portrait or landscape format will find sizes from 9 x 11 to 45 x 30 cm in the range.
