The picture stand 40 x 30 cm is a landscape format in the 4:3 aspect ratio, the standard format of smartphone cameras and compact cameras. 40 x 30 cm is the largest landscape format in the range, intended for pictures, posters and art prints. The stand is a frameless picture frame made of crystal-clear PLEXIGLAS® XT, 3.0 mm thick; the picture fills the surface edge to edge, without frame, backing board or clips.
Construction and handling: The picture stand is bent from a single piece and needs a footprint of roughly 40 x 14.5 cm. The base carries four anti-slip feet, the inclined pane holds the picture: the print slides in from the top behind the pane and rests on the lower edge by itself. Changing it takes a few seconds and needs no tools. At 1,070 g and 3.0 mm material thickness it stands securely even at this size, without tipping or swaying.
Material: PLEXIGLAS® is the original among acrylic glasses. It is UV-stable, does not yellow even after years by the window and is considerably more break-resistant than glass of the same thickness. The edges are diamond-polished and shine like ground glass; fingerprints wipe off with a soft cloth and a little water. Avoid glass cleaners containing alcohol and abrasive agents, and the pane stays permanently clear.
Typical applications: At this size the stand is an eye-catcher on chest of drawers, sideboard and mantelpiece, replacing a wall picture without any drilling. Art prints, posters and large photo prints can be changed at any time. In the shop it carries promotion posters and collection images, at reception and at trade fairs notices and welcome boards, at weddings the welcome sign or the seating plan.
The right size: 40 x 30 cm is the landscape version of the 30 x 40 cm stand; at 3.0 mm the pane is thicker than in the small sizes so that it stays straight across 40 cm of width. At 1,070 g it stands securely on a shop counter too. The 4:3 range comprises 11 x 9, 13 x 10, 15 x 11, 17 x 13, 27 x 20 and 40 x 30 cm. For prints from DSLR and mirrorless cameras in 3:2 landscape format there are sizes from 13 x 9 to 45 x 30 cm.
