The picture stand 45 x 30 cm is the landscape format in the 3:2 aspect ratio delivered by 35 mm film, DSLR and mirrorless cameras. 45 x 30 cm is the large-format print for wall pictures, here as a free-standing landscape format. The stand is a frameless picture frame made of crystal-clear PLEXIGLAS® XT, 3.0 mm thick; the picture fills the surface edge to edge, without frame, backing board or clips.
Construction and handling: The shape is an L made from one piece: a base with four anti-slip feet and a pane leaning backwards, together roughly 45 x 7.5 cm of footprint. The picture slides in from the top, sits behind the pane and rests on the lower edge; no tools or clips are needed. At 1,185 g and 3.0 mm material thickness it stands securely even at this size, without tipping or swaying.
Material: The pane is made of original PLEXIGLAS® XT, an acrylic glass that is UV-stable and does not yellow. It lets through more light than window glass and is considerably more break-resistant. The edges are diamond-polished, so crystal clear instead of milky. A soft cloth and water are all it takes to care for it; cleaners containing alcohol or abrasives attack the surface and do not belong on acrylic glass.
Typical applications: The large format stands freely in the room: on the sideboard in the living room, on the dresser in the hallway or on the counter of a shop. Photographers and galleries present prints in it without having to frame them; in retail the promotion in the stand changes as quickly as the range. At events it serves as programme board, signpost or welcome sign at the entrance.
The right size: 45 x 30 cm is the largest stand in the range and the landscape version of the 30 x 45 cm stand; the pane is 3.0 mm thick, the stand weighs 1,185 g and therefore stands securely on a counter too. The 3:2 range comprises 13 x 9, 15 x 10, 17 x 11, 18 x 13, 30 x 20 and 45 x 30 cm. Phone photos in 4:3 landscape format fit the sizes from 11 x 9 to 40 x 30 cm.
